Ignite :: Lyrics to Know Your History

You want to take a stand
You haven’t made a plan
Your new crusades bring misery
Better know your history

You spot your war disease
Bring this nation to its knees
The largest debt we’ve ever seen
Better know your history

Under the burning sun
Another dead hero
This road we’re walking on
To reap what we have sown
(Oh) Lockdown, lockdown, here we go again

Foreign aid with strings attached
Cut down on the working class
The World Bank creeps
In sheep’s clothing
Better know your history

The masses, so deaf and blind
We’re back to the Roman times
The truth is now the enemy
Better know your history

My family lived through both regimes
The rising tide of lies and mass deceit
They’ll tell you what to think
And what to say Know your history

You send the poor to fight
Then praise the religious right
A sacrilegious blasphemy
Better know your history

An empire of greedy thieves
Bring the nation to its knees
The new world corporatocracy
Better know your history

History
For the past to repeat
Is your destiny
History
I know we’re going to pay
To history

Ignite :: Lyrics to Veteran

Yeah, you’re abandoned,
so sorry, you’re just a waste of their time,
yeah, you’ve been lied to once again,
yeah, well, they’ve paid you no,
where are we, where are we now?
Where are we, where are we now?
Old woman, have you seen your better days,
are you feelin’ so alone,
well, the times they all have changed,
forgotten,
hungry and cold,
veteran, are you satisfied with life,
are you sleepin’ on concrete,
are you forgotten and alone,
poor, homeless in this country,
where are we, where are we now?
Where are we, where are we now?
Hey senior, have you been taken past your prime,
have you been taken advantage of,
are you forgotten,
tired and poor by the ones you’ve voted for,
yeah, you’re abandoned,
so sorry, you’re just a waste of their time,
yeah, you’ve been lied to once again,
yeah, well, they’ve paid you no mind,
yeah, you’re abandoned,
so sorry, you’re just a waste of their time,
yeah, you’ve been lied to once again,
yeah, well, they’ve paid you no mind

The slavery of poverty,
no one should be hungry in this country,
enough to feed,
to medicate,
to clothe the backs and housin’ for families,
the cuts in care and Medicaid leads me believe our government just doesn’t care,
we send our aid,
our misspent funds,
Americans hungry livin’ in the ghetto

The cuts in care and Medicaid leads me believe our government just doesn’t care,
we send our aid,
our misspent funds,
Americans hungry livin’ in the ghetto

Where are we, where are we now? (2x)

Yeah, you’re abandoned,
so sorry, you’re just a waste of their time,
yeah, you’ve been lied to once again,
yeah, well, they’ve paid you no mind,
yeah, you’re abandoned,
so sorry, you’re just a waste of their time,
yeah, you’ve been lied to once again,
yeah, well, they’ve paid you no mind
(Yeah yeah yeah) (3x)
(Yeah yeah)

New York

Sorry to ruin the fantasy but Sex in the City is 99.9% fiction. Friends is 100% fiction. Sinefield is 95% fiction. Good Morning America is total bull shit.

NYC is the epicenter of corruption and poverty. Unless you make six figures and up, you live in the ghetto. Even if you make six figures and up, you may have a nice pimp apartment but your street is still dirty, the air still polluted, and there are homeless in your alley. Blue collar workers are all x-cons or illegal immigrants. Everyone has a hustle. Anything you say can and will be used against you.

The only “happy people” here are the super rich or the tourist. The super uber rich can afford to live in heavily guarded areas or they live north of the city along the coast and drive in and pay 35 – 50 dollars a day to park their cars. Everyone pays 8 dollars just to enter Manhattan and they want to charge another 8 to get to lower Manhattan. My commute cost 8-10 dollars a day depending on which way I go.

Most people in Manhattan have 2-3 roommates or more living in the smallest apartments you can imagine. Studios in the “bad” areas start at 1300, 1BR 1600, 2BR 2000… in the better areas Studios are 2k, 1BR 3k, 2BR 4k and up. My friend lives with 5 guys and they all pay 1k per month plus utilities.

It’s whacked.

But on a positive note, I will survive to fight another day. I got myself into this mess and I will get myself out.

…..and now for a song from Fear that I’ve loved since 1986 and now realize just how true it is.

New York’s alright, New York’s alright
New York’s alright if you like saxophones

New York’s alright if you wanna get pushed in front of the subway
New York’s alright if you like tebirculosis
New York’s alright if you like art and jazz
New York’s alright if you’re a homosexual

New york’s alright, New York’s alright
New York’s alright if you like saxophones

New York’s alright if you like drunks in your doorway
New York’s alright if you wanna freeze to death
New York’s alright if you wanna get mugged or murdered
New York’s alright if you like saxophones

New York’s alright, New York’s alright
New York’s alright if you like saxophones

Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system.

Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult.  It is a complete system.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components.  The religious component is a beard for all the other components.

Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called “religious rights.”

When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to “the reasonable” Muslim demands for their “religious rights,” they also get the other components under the table.

Here ’s how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone.  In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States — Muslim 1.0%
Australia — Muslim 1.5%
Canada — Muslim 1.9%
China — Muslim 1%-2%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

Denmark — Muslim 2%
Germany — Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom — Muslim 2. 7%
Spain — Muslim 4%
Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

They will push for the introduction of halaal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims.  They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. ( United States).

France — Muslim 8%
Philippines — Muslim 5%
Sweden — Muslim 5%
Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law.  The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris — car-burnings).  Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam — Mohammed cartoons).

Guyana — Muslim 10%
India — Muslim 13.4%
Israel — Muslim 16%
Kenya – Muslim 10%
Russia — Muslim 10-15%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

Bosnia — Muslim 40%
Chad — Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

Albania — Muslim 70%
Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%
Qatar — Muslim 77.5%
Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:

Bangladesh — Muslim 83%
Egypt — Muslim 90%
Gaza — Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%
Iran — Muslim 98%
Iraq — Muslim 97%
Jordan — Muslim 92%
Morocco — Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan — Muslim 97%
Palestine — Muslim 99%
Syria — Muslim 90%
Tajikistan — Muslim 90%
Turkey — Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of “Dar-es-Salaam” — the Isla mic House of Peace — there ’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:

Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
Somalia — Muslim 100%
Yemen — Muslim 99.9%

Of course, that ’s not the case.  To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.

“Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life.  It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world. And all of us against the infidel.  –  Leon Uris, “The Haj”

It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France , the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity.  Muslims do not integrate into the community at large.  Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate.

I miss my dog, Iggy Pop!!!!!

Iggy hated living up here in New Jersey. He was confined to the kitchen because he started peeing on the carpet. There was not much grass on our walk around the block. He hated the cold and the rain. He got depressed and would just sit in his bed all day and look sad. So, I took him to my sisters house in Jacksonville and left him with her, Zorro and my niece. He likes her house and gets plenty of warmth, grass, blue skys, love and attention and is very happy. But, I miss him so much!!!! and he misses me. Deanne said that he saw a white van with a lady with dark hair and went crazy barking at her. She thinks he thought it was me.

So? … A Note from Michael Moore

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/03/19/cheney-poll-iraq/

Monday, March 24th, 2008

Friends,

It would have to happen on Easter Sunday, wouldn’t it, that the 4,000th American soldier would die in Iraq. Play me that crazy preacher again, will you, about how maybe God, in all his infinite wisdom, may not exactly be blessing America these days. Is anyone surprised?

4,000 dead. Unofficial estimates are that there may be up to 100,000 wounded, injured, or mentally ruined by this war. And there could be up to a million Iraqi dead. We will pay the consequences of this for a long, long time. God will keep blessing America.

And where is Darth Vader in all this? A reporter from ABC News this week told Dick Cheney, in regards to Iraq, “two-thirds of Americans say it’s not worth fighting.” Cheney cut her off with a one word answer: “So?”

“So?” As in, “So what?” As in, “F*** you. I could care less.”

I would like every American to see Cheney flip the virtual bird at the them, the American people. Click here and pass it around. Then ask yourself why we haven’t risen up and thrown him and his puppet out of the White House.

The Democrats have had the power to literally pull the plug on this war for the past 15 months — and they have refused to do so. What are we to do about that? Continue to sink into our despair? Or get creative? Real creative. I know there are many of you reading this who have the chutzpah and ingenuity to confront your local congressperson. Will you? For me?

Cheney spent Wednesday, the 5th anniversary of the war, not mourning the dead he killed, but fishing off the Sultan of Oman’s royal yacht. So? Ask your favorite Republican what they think of that.

The Founding Fathers would never have uttered the presumptuous words, “God Bless America.” That, to them, sounded like a command instead of a request, and one doesn’t command God, even if they are America. In fact, they were worried God would punish America. During the Revolutionary War, George Washington feared that God would react unfavorably against his soldiers for the way they were behaving. John Adams wondered if God might punish America and cause it to lose the war, just to prove His point that America was not worthy. They and the others believed it would be arrogant on their part to assume that God would single out America for a blessing. What a long road we have traveled since then.

I see that Frontline on PBS this week has a documentary called “Bush’s War.” That’s what I’ve been calling it for a long time. It’s not the “Iraq War.” Iraq did nothing. Iraq didn’t plan 9/11. It didn’t have weapons of mass destruction. It DID have movie theaters and bars and women wearing what they wanted and a significant Christian population and one of the few Arab capitals with an open synagogue.

But that’s all gone now. Show a movie and you’ll be shot in the head. Over a hundred women have been randomly executed for not wearing a scarf. I’m happy, as a blessed American, that I had a hand in all this. I just paid my taxes, so that means I helped to pay for this freedom we’ve brought to Baghdad. So? Will God bless me?

God bless all of you in this Easter Week as we begin the 6th year of Bush’s War.

God help America. Please.

In the Information Age, the flow of IP (Internet Protocol) data between locations is nearly ubiquitous.

SUPER COOL!!!!
on exibition at
MoMA The Museum of Modern Art
Design and Elastic Mind
February 24th – May 12th 2008

New York Talk Exchange illustrates the global exchange of information in real time by visualizing volumes of long distance telephone and IP (Internet Protocol) data flowing between New York and cities around the world.

In an information age, telecommunications such as the Internet and the telephone bind people across space by eviscerating the constraints of distance. To reveal the relationships that New Yorkers have with the rest of the world, New York Talk Exchange asks: How does the city of New York connect to other cities? With which cities does New York have the strongest ties and how do these relationships shift with time? How does the rest of the world reach into the neighborhoods of New York?

In the Information Age, the flow of IP (Internet Protocol) data between locations is nearly ubiquitous. Globe Encounters visualizes in real time the volumes of Internet data flowing between New York and cities around the world. The size of the glow on a particular city location corresponds to the amount of IP traffic flowing between that place and New York City. A greater glow implies a greater IP flow.

Bed Bugs

Bed Bugs!!!!

There is an epidemic of bed bugs in NYC even though you don’t see it on the news very often. They also don’t tell you how to fight them or keep from getting them. I am writing this to help increase awareness and help win the war against this nasty creature. I happen to live with the best pest control technician, Jason Irwin, who works for Broadway Exterminators in Manhattan and spends many hours every day fighting pest. Shameless plug, if you need pest control in the New York City area, call 212.280.1657 and request Jason Irwin as your technician. Learn more on their website here>> Get Rid of Bed Bugs!

One of the reasons so many people are getting them is because they take home things other people throw away. When you have an infestation, the best thing to do is get rid of your furniture and beds. People really should put signs on the infested items to keep people from taking them out of the trash and into their homes. If you take an infested piece of furniture or clothing into you home you will infest your entire house. Then you will be the next one on the block putting all your stuff out on the street for the trash.

Bed bugs live in the cracks and you can’t always see them. The best way to tell if your bed or couch or chair is infested is to use a hairdryer to heat up an area. They are attracted to the heat and will come out looking for a host. They leave small poop stains behind that look like dust, half the size of a flea.

Basic Info: Bed bugs are small nocturnal insects that feed on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded hosts. Bed bugs are generally active only at night, with a peak attack period about an hour before dawn, though given the opportunity, they may attempt to feed at other times of day.

Bed Bug Killer Surface Attracted by warmth and the presence of carbon dioxide, the bug pierces the skin of its host with two hollow tubes. With one tube it injects its saliva, which contains anticoagulants and anesthetics, while with the other it withdraws the blood of its host. After feeding for about five minutes, the bug returns to its hiding place. The bites cannot usually be felt until some minutes or hours later, as a dermatological reaction to the injected agents. Although bed bugs can live for up to 18 months without feeding, they typically seek blood every five to ten days.
